Welcome to my home page...
Glad you could drop by.
Vital Statistics
My wife Jane and I live with 3 Maine Coon cats (Taco, Stevie Ray & Django) on 10 acres teetering on the northern edge of the Ozarks.
We also own a farm in north central Missouri (near Moberly) on which we raise a few soybeans and do most of our deer and turkey hunting.
I am...
... a data processing consultant (retired)
...the Conservation Editor for Outdoor Guide Magazine.
...a life member in the National Rifle Association.

What I like to do...
I like to hunt, to ride motorcycles and a few other things. Here are some websites I've put together on a few of my obsessions:
KillerNoms.com
RideToEat.com
Motorcycling and inland ferries
OnTimeZone.com
NoMoCWD.org
I got into sport-touring motorcycles about 47 years ago, and even got into competitive amateur roadracing for a couple of years in the '90s. More recently I've dabbled in long disance endurance motorcycle riding (Iron Butt Association). Loads more info and links on all that through the ferry link above.
I've hunted whitetail, mule deer, pronghorn, turkey (Eastern & Merriams), elk, moose, black bear, dove, ducks, geese, pheasants, squirrel, rabbits, sage grouse, woodcock, and bobwhite quail. Still haven't taken an elk or bear yet though.
I am very interested in everything that happens to our wild meat from the moment it hits the ground to the time it hits the dinner plate - such as field care, butchering, storage and cooking.
I'm dogless at the moment, but usually have a golden retriever or two that I train for both upland and waterfowl - as well as to keep my feet warm on cold nights. See a memorial to one of my favorites, Josie, at her page if you would like to see one fine dog.
